Car maintenance
// March 14th, 2011 // blog
I was on my way to course last week when I found out that my car engine warning light appeared.
Me, being a technical person will always feel worried if something like this happen. So during break time, took some time off to send the car to the nearest Proton service.
Sampai saja sana, the technician checked for fault messages and found two. One of them was “pedal – voltage too low”. Refered to his Workshop Manager, the pedal accelerometer had defect. According to him, the pedal is now connected electrically by 6 wires and perhaps was already faulting for some time. Padanlah bila bawak turun bukit, pedal tekan mcm slow motion je.
The total repair cost; spare part RM270 + computer (the need a special device to reset and clear all fault messages) RM60 + labor charge RM30 = RM362. Kopaks duit!!
